Historical Landmarks
Join the people of Canal Winchester in appreciating the rich heritage that is alive and well in this quaint village just miles from Ohio's capital city.  Even as its population grows, Canal Winchester residents work hard to maintain the area's historical integrity and keep in touch with the years that have passed.

The last covered bridge in the county can be found on Ashbrook Road.  It was built in 1887 and is no longer used for transportation.

The Prentiss School (left), Chaney Mill Elevator and Train Depot all stand at the entrance of the historic village.

Canal Winchester is one of the original stops on the Ohio and Erie Canal.
