Cooperative Economic Development Agreement
Canal
Winchester has entered into a CEDA
with Violet Township in Fairfield
County, covering an area in excess
of 1500 acres split between the
township and municipality. Most of
this land is vacant and is expected
to develop primarily for commercial
and industrial uses. The CEDA was
created to provide consensus on
annexations, deal with road
maintenance and utility services,
provide uniform development
standards and provide income sharing
between the political
jurisdictions. Canal Pointe
Industry and Commerce Park is part
of the CEDA area. The focal point
of the CEDA is the recently opened
interchange located at U.S. 33 and
Diley/Hill Roads. |
